Physical Education class is designed to help students develop the skills, knowledge and attitude to engage in an active, healthy lifestyle.
It is my goal that through this class you will:
Engage in fun, safe physical activity
Learn new skills and strategies to participate in a variety of physical activities
Learn and apply communication and leadership skills
Develop knowledge of fitness and how it effects the body for lifelong healthy living
A few things I will need from you:
A positive attitude and willingness to try your best
Be prepared for class, and ready to engage in activity
Dressing appropriately for class activities
Arrive on time, and change quickly
All electronics are to be put in my office or in your book bag
Play fair, and safe
Respect other students, teachers and equipment
No food or drinks in the gym area
Clothing /Participation Policy Students are expected to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for physical education class. Students are required to wear closed toed shoes, for safety reasons. Students are asked to wear clothing that they are comfortable to be active and sweat in during Phys Ed class. Time and space will be provided for students to change.
Students are expected to participate in all class activities, and will be assessed based on their participation. Students will require a note from home indicating illness or an injury in order to be excused from class activities. If for medical reasons a student needs to miss a significant amount of class time, an alternative written project may be assigned.
